Delicious chocolate oat biscuits - warning very moreish!
My guests absolutely loved these easily made cookies which flew out of the jars in the rooms faster than I could bake fresh ones ;)

For about 60 biccies you'll need:
115g plain flour
0.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda
0.25 tsp baking powder
115g unsweetened soft butter
100g castor sugar
75g soft light brown sugar
1 large egg
0.5 tsp vanilla essence
75g oats
175g chocolate of your choice chopped not too finely - The photo on the left was made with plain chocolate and the one below with white one, both yum!

All you need to do make them is:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl
Separately cream the butter, sugars and the vanilla essence until light and fluffy
Fold in the dry mix and keep folding till all the ingredients have combined nicely
Line a baking tray and drop teaspoonfuls of the dough mix onto it - space them quite a bit apart as they'll spread a little
Bake for about 15 mins and then leave to cool on a wire rack
Tadaa!
